(Photo via the Telegraph) This won’t work as glass is an insulator. It could, as glass heats up as well, assuming it won’t break under tremendous temperature, but it’s hell of a lot inefficient. I guess placing a wire mesh conductor (among other possible things) would work better and still would let you see inside the toaster, but it breaks aesthetics, and aesthetics is the most important thing today, no? Chemistry and physics nerds, please tell me if I’m wrong.
